- Elephant ears are packed with lots of blood vessels just under the skin.
- When elephants flap their ears, air moves over those vessels and cools the blood, which then circulates through the body.
- This is super important because elephants live in hot places and don’t sweat like we do.

- Those big, wide ears help catch sound waves—including low-frequency rumbles (infrasound) that humans can’t hear.
